Class Description: Finding your way - the Tao of creativity through fan
The founder of this program, Jing Shuai*, will give a brief introduction regarding the ancient way (Tao) to help participants express their thoughts or art style on the fans.
The most important aspects of the program are to keep it simple, and relax, in order to reveal the creative process. Most people will paint an object that immediately comes to mind.
Except bringing a painted fan home after a Fan painting workshop, participants will have the opportunity to either showcase their fans in a project exhibition for free, or demonstrate their talents in an improvisational performance in a Fan Fair, which will include storytelling, poetry reading, dance, and any other forms. The Fan Fair will be open to our small group of participants only, which always helps us feel more free to express ourselves.
Days: The first Wednesday of each month. (12/02/2019, 01/01/2020, 02/05/2020)
Times: 5:00 – 6:00 pm
